We are so excited to announce the official opening of our brand new French & French showroom and shop with an Aimee LaCalle shop in shop. This next step for our business has been a long time coming, and we’re so delighted that it’s finally become a reality.

Matt pretty much grew up in retail, so this has been a long-time dream of his. Growing up in Fairhope, Alabama, his mom owned an import and hot sauce store, and he’s wanted to follow in her footsteps for ages. After years of talking about it and many months of figuring out the logistics, we have finally been able to take our space from a showroom to a shopfront – and a more inclusive space for the entire community.

We would love it if you would come in and visit us at 339 Manhattan Avenue in Santa Fe. In the meantime, here’s everything you need to know about our brand new storefront!

Shop the French & French style

A lot of our inspiration comes from the bohemian movement that happened in Santa Fe in the 1930s, combined with a classic but modern approach to design. The French & French shop is an extension of our interior design style, and everything you’ll find in store is a reflection of our high-end, classic, bohemian aesthetic.

We’ve become known for the way that we layer pattern and color, so we wanted to put together a collection of vintage textiles, found pieces, beautiful pillows and other high-end, luxurious details that allow our customers to get that look at home. We’ve also always loved classic pieces, modern lighting and both modern and classic art, and it was a really fun experience to curate those types of pieces so we can share them with our customers and community.

What’s in store

In the French & French shop, you can find everything from upholstery to cleaning supplies! We really wanted to create a shop where you could pop in and find all the things that really make a house a home – a kind of one-stop-shop for beautiful, carefully curated pieces that can add some extra flavour to your space.

Of course, you’ll be able to shop our entire lighting line, French & French Lighting. We’re currently working on a new lamp in collaboration with Barro by Lucrecia that will be sold here in our shop. It’ll be launched at ShowHouse Santa Fe this year, along with two new chandeliers and a gorgeous floor lamp.

Beyond our lighting line, we’ve curated some gorgeous antique finds and upholstered them in special fabrics. We’ve also got some lovely home accessories, including pillows (lots and lots of pillows), wall art, drapery, baskets and bed linens. There’s also those smaller objects that add a special touch to your space, like candles, artisanal soaps, books and home spray. We’ve even got some jewelry and handbags, and are waiting on an order of neat artisanal brooms and cleaning supplies to help you take care of your home.

Who we carry

In deciding what pieces to sell in our shop, we wanted to select vendors and artists that match our aesthetic and values. We’re creators at heart, so we love carefully choosing unique pieces that fit our classic, bohemian style and that we can use to show people how to achieve that aesthetic in their homes.

Santa Fe is bursting with talent (it’s the 3rd largest art market in the world!) and the more we look, the more we find! We believe in supporting our community whenever possible, and our number one priority was to bring in local housewares and accessories. Here are just some of the talented local artists we carry.

FEATURING AN AIMEE LACALLE SHOP

We are thrilled to be working in close partnership here in the shop with AIMEE LACALLE. Aimee’s work draws cultural, artistic, and ecological inspiration from her surroundings—both here in Santa Fe and beyond. She creates a wide variety of high-quality textile pieces ranging from bedding and duvet covers, to curtain panels, to limited edition art. Our shop and showroom have a very homey and elegant feel thanks to AIMEE LACALLE’s striking textile art.

Barro by Lucrecia

Lucrecia of Barro by Lucrecia has been a ceramicist since her childhood, and each of her pieces is delicately handmade. We carry some of her commissioned fine ceramic tableware, including plates, bowls and cups.barro ceramic mug and pitcher

Cynthia Jones Jewelry

Cynthia, of Cynthia Jones Jewelry, is a dear friend of mine. We were pregnant together and started our businesses around the same time, and we’ve really enjoyed watching each other grow. I’m delighted to be supporting her by selling some of her beautiful pieces.

Ami Bags

Ami is a local brand of amazing handmade handbags and accessories. Each of Rachel’s handbags is both practical and beautiful, and the gorgeous handbags that we carry are made from our repurposed fabric samples!
