Well, it’s that time of year again – ShowHouse time! Matt and I are pleased to announce that this October, our work will again be on display in the lovely White Sisters’ estate, a historic east-side house that was home to two daughters of a wealthy New York newspaperman in the 1920s and 1930s. The theme this year is Old Mex and New Mex, a blend of local design and that of Old Mexico. We can’t wait to get started on our room!
Tickets and dates are available on the main website, and once again, all proceeds will go to Dollars4Schools.
From Heather & Matt’s Design Statement:
Constantly inspired by the colors and patterns of Mexico & New Mexico, French & French interiors kicks it up a notch by using brightly colored textiles and fabrics, such as fuchsia and bright oranges, which are grounded by the use of antiques and luxurious upholstery. Old & New Mex meet by combining interesting Old Mexico colors and antiques with a New Mexican sensibility.
Matt & Heather French of French & French Interiors began their design journey by remodeling and flipping houses in 2002. They have experience building homes from concept to completion and can build, remodel, design and inspire. What sets them apart is the combination of skills they bring separately and together. Matt French is the master of materials and processes, those things that define a project. Heather French is the orchestrater, the mix of the soft and the hard, the flow. With a respect for antiquities combined with modern pieces and local artisans they seek an authenticity of materials which helps bring meaning to the quiet moments of life.
